The team champion in the second-ever NCAA Division III Championship, the Saints swim team's performance included national championships in the 800 free relay and 400 medley relay as well as two individual national titles. Scott Frame won the 200 free and Jeff Cook the 100 free while the team of Doug Arthur, Brad Porter, Cook and Frame won the 400 medley relay and Jim Brush, Cook, Frame and Garry Weischedel won the 800 free relay.
